This page is dedicated to our personal horror stories
selling puppies to what we call "Scarry puppy buyers". It is under
construction
and we have many stories to tell. Our effort in doing so would be to
clear the
air, write the truth and to educate current puppy shoppers out there
looking to buy a new puppy about "what not to do" or say to a dog breeder when
trying to purchase a puppy or after purchasing your new puppy. After
all... you
are looking for a puppy to buy and you need to find a dog
breeder to purchase that puppy. Something hard to find.....dog
breeders. Love
your dog breeder.... :)

Litter of 4 and we have listed the other puppy's buyers
This
Customer who's name is Stephanie Desorcy out of Rhode Island purchased a female
Morkie from us on January 17th 2009. It was delivered to her home on a
Saturday
night around 10 pm. We had 18 deliveries this weekend on the east coast.
The
puppy's name was Shirley. She only weighed 1.5 pounds and was 10 weeks
old. She
did not eat or drink at her new home that night. She did run around and
play and
threw up 4 times afterwards. (Its called overstimulation) After their
puppy
vomited 4 times, these people did not treat this puppy. They just
cleaned it up
and went back to bed. At 10 am in the morning, this customer called and
explained that when Shirley came she seemed fine and she played, ran
around and
then vomited 4 times, but now she does not want to eat or drink is just
laying
around. Come to find out that up until now these people have done
nothing. 12
hours in her new home these people have not made her drink or eat, and
have not
eaten or drank for her....(c'mon she weighs 1.5 pounds). This lady did
not go
and get any Pedialyte or Nutralcal for her puppy until 12-14 hours
later. She
was suppose to have it when Shirley got there.
Just to get to the
point,
5 days later. A $1000 dollar vet bill later. This puppy was diagnosed
with a
simple viral infection, that most likely came from her long ride and the
first
stressful 12 hours in her home. This is exactly what the vet said to me
over the
phone and in her letter to me. If you think I am lying....call the vet
and ask !
Her number and name is listed above. But this customer found it
necessary to go
on-line and say that she bought a puppy from us that had a very deadly
and
contagious disease called *Distemper* ( A VERY SERIOUS ACCUSATION ) She
is a
liar.
Mrs. Desorcy did take her puppy to the vet about 12-14
hours after
receiving her because she would not eat or drink and had become
lethargic. When
she returned from the vets office she called me saying that her puppy
had to be
admitted because of her failure to eat or drink, she was absolutely the
rudest,
meanest, nastiest, person I have had to speak to in a long time. In her
first 2
sentences before I even got to speak... this woman told me I was a puppy mill
and that she was an attorney and her family was attorneys and her
friends were
attorneys and that she has money and I will be sorry. Also that I do not
know
who I was messing with. After a minute of all the threatening and
bulling, then
her sister got on the phone and screamed at me and threatened me with
all the
"My family is a family full of attorneys"....... I hung up. There is no
reason
for me to be treated like this, so I hung up. I tried to speak and ask
questions
and try to be helpful.....but why bother, she wasn't listening to
anything I had
to say. She just simply spoke over me and louder.
Later she
called again
and reminded me that her husband and brother and just about everybody
she knows
is an attorney. She also mentioned that she doesn't know what is wrong
with her
dog yet and she does not care, she is going to run up a vet bill and
that I am
paying for it..... I hung up. No sense in trying to get a word in or be
heard.
The reason why her bill was $1000 because she refused to
care for
the puppy at all, she just kept taking it to the vets office saying she
would
not eat or drink by herself. She obviously was too lazy to try to care
for her
puppy a little herself. A 1.5 pound puppy is a very special, you have to
treat it like a little newborn baby. All puppies eat and drink less when
they
move from one home to another. You cant just sit back and do nothing.
Let it
vomit and do nothing. I have spoke to her vet 3 times, she was upset to
hear
that Mrs. Desorcy had went on-line and lied about something as serious
as
Distemper. She (the vet) reassured me that the puppy had a simple viral
infection that was most likely caused from stress and her long car ride
and that
there was nothing that we could have done to prevent it. The vet assured
me that
she never told Mrs. Desorcy that the puppy had Distemper and does not
know why
she is lying. The vet asked if I received her letter, I let her know
that I had
received it and that it does say a simple (not contagious, not deadly)
viral
infection. It wasn't just the viral infection that made her so ill, it
was the
long car ride, and the first night in her new home. Plus the lack of
care.
I do not understand why Mrs. Desorcy treated us this way
except to
say that maybe this is type of person she is. A bully. I would say that
if you
are a breeder do not sell her a puppy. She is a bully and a liar.
We
refunded her the $480 she paid for her puppy, but we really wish she did
not
have the puppy at all. We wish that we could get Shirley back. We wish
we had
never sold her the puppy at all. Its hard knowing someone has your
precious
puppy and that they treated you like shit ! Everytime that puppy kisses
her face
and loves her daughter and kisses away some tears and gives that family
love....they got that precious loving puppy from us.
Now I will
list the
other 3 people that purchased Shirley's siblings. These other 3 siblings
rode
with Shirley in the same crate and was all delivered the same weekend.
If you
like and they are aware of it...call them. They will tell you that there
was
nothing wrong with their pups at all. Also that their pups did not eat
or drink
well the first 2 days but "they" did something about it. They gave their
pups
some Nutracal and One man cooked some hamburger and eggs for his puppy.
One
customer said that their puppy played so hard the first day it was
there, it
vomited twice, and they treated the puppy by giving it some sugar water (
too
keep its sugar high cause it had vomited all its fluids up ). These are
caring
people and understanding too of what they bought and how to care for it
properly
its first 72 hours in its new home.
1. Sheila was the puppy's
name.
Slawoner Zukowski is the buyer....his number is...551-206-3816 or
973-594-0737.
He lives in New Jersey.
2. Sugar was the puppy's name. Adrianna
Eckert is the buyer...her number is 814-366-0147. She lives In Altoona
Pa.
3. Sampson was the puppies name. Mary and Alyssa
Andreauis is the buyer...her number is 609-377-5198 or 609-402-7706 they
live in
New Jersey.
All of these buyers will confirm that their dog DID
NOT have
a very contagoius and deadly disease called Distemper.
Our main
issue
with this situation is that lies were told and our names were slandered
unfairly
and I might add revengefully. Yes they bought a puppy that ended up
being ill,
but it was not Distemper. Yes, they needed a refund, which they got
promptly. I
just want to say that the lack of care for the puppy made the puppy's
illness
worse. The lack of care... being that only the young daughter read over
the
website and they did nothing for the puppy after it vomited and they
also did
not make their 1 pound
puppy eat and drink properly that first 12 hours. I
think we have plenty of information on our website for puppy buyers to
be
prepared and ready for such small pups. All they have to do is read,
understand,
agree and do it !
The fact that the daughter was the only one
that read
over our website and not the mother...taught us a lesson. Now when young
folks
over 18 who still live at home with their parents call and buy a puppy
we make
damn sure that the parent has read over the website also ! In the past
we
would speak with the parents and make sure they are aware of everything
going on
but now we make the parent/home owner is the one that signs up for a
puppy and
reads over the website also, even if the person that is calling is 24
years old
and still residing at home.
A letter from Toni the delivery
driver. When I dropped off Shirley at the Desorcy Home.
Stephanie Desorcy was kinda unfriendly towards me. Usually people are so
happy
to see me. But this lady in my opinion was snide, snotty and was very
stand-offish towards me. I felt uncomfortable in her home. I drove
across 3
states to deliver her puppy to her and she did not even say thank you.
When I
showed the papers to her that she needed to read over about Toy Breeds
and
eating and drinking, she didn't read it over at all. I only charged her
$100 and
shipping would have cost her about $350. We don't ship , I'm just saying
my
service was unappreciated. While in the Desorcy home, she handed the
puppy off
to her daughter right away. Who argued with another woman present ( I
think her
aunt) about who was going to hold the puppy first. Shirley ate and drank
5-6
times before she arrived at her new home. She was on the road for 18
hours.
A letter from Tina ( the vet tech that cared for her puppy
during
its trip )Shirley ate 5-6 times before arriving at her new home. She sat
up
front with me for a while. She was loving and very socialized. Although
scarred
of the big trucks that drove by. She showed no signs of stress while
with me.
When Toni came out of the Desorcy home she mentioned that the woman was
very
unfriendly and that the daughter was already arguing over who was
holding the
puppy. Personally I think that the puppy went into a stressfull
environment with
people that know very little about a Toy Breed Puppy. If the puppy
developed a
viral infection from the ride and from its environmental change...Its
not the
breeders fault. They didn't do this on purpose and did not know of it.
This
could have happened to anybody and any puppy. I believe one thing Diana
forgot
to mention, the vet said in her letter that its common.
A letter
from the breeder. Personally I would have not refunded all of her
purchase
price. I am not completely responsible. If you agree to buy such a small
little
puppy breed you should understand the up and downs. Specially Yorkie and
Yorkie
mixes. (If you chose to ship or deliver instead of picking up, thats on
her).
Yorkies are very sensitive to any type of stress or change. I am sure if
you do
some research that you will find that Yorkies and other very small Toy
breed
puppies are different then large breed puppies. They require a different
type of
personal care and concern. The refund was made in full because of Diana.
It was
her decision. This is why I do not like to sell directly to the public
because
when your 69 years old, no one wants to hear what Diana had to hear that
day
over the phone. I breed about 6-7 litters a year of Yorkies and Yorkie
mixes and
its a lot of hard work and I am upset that this lady has my puppy. I am
not a
puppy mill,
just a dog lover. We all are. Thank you, Minerva
We regret
selling Stephanie Desorcy a puppy. We regret having to write this. But
all in
all, we have to. We agreed to list our refunds and the info that goes
along with
it. Whether its terrible or not. So here it is and there you have it ! I
am not
at all certain as to whether we list our refunds to just be honest or to
allow
other people to see "how... not to be". People throw around the word Puppy
mill alot. It would be a terrible thing if dog breeders refused
to breed
their dogs for anyone because of the negativity that so many people
spread
around. So many many people tell us on a daily basis that they are
having a hard
time finding the puppy they are looking for at a reasonable price...so
many
!
We do want to mention that Ms. Desorcy did call the SPCA on and of
course as usual, the complaint was unfounded and prove to be nothing but
her
harassing us. But we do want to point out that the SPCA is for neglect
and
abuse. We did not neglect or abuse any puppy or dog. So we don't know
what she
got out of calling. Except wasting the Spca's money and time, something
they do
not have alot of. I wonder if she donated the money back for wasting
their time
and funds purposely. I did.
MAY 2009....
SCHNOODLE - REFUND DENIED ! EXTORTION IS ILLEGAL !!
Just in case this ever happens again. We should print this.
Heres
a
question for ya....? If we take you the wrong puppy on accident. Lets
say we
take the brother schnoodle instead of the female sister Schnoodle and
they are
identical in every way. In fact the customer didn't even notice. So we
do this
on accident and we are quick to give out 15 sorries when the customer
calls.
Then we admit that we have done this about 7 other times over a period
of 6
years and that sometimes we just screw up ! But obviously not alot.
7 times 6 years, not bad !
Then... we tell you that we will pick
him back
up and return with the female and we are so very sorry. No expense to
you, of
course. But wait.... you say no, no, I love him. I want to keep him. Its
fine ~
I love him ~. Ok ! ok ~
Then you mention that you have to take
back all
that pink stuff you bought. We ask if you saved your receipt and you say
yes
!!! We say....yeah !! So the customer keeps the dog, doesn't want us to
bring the correct one, cause she loves this one sooo much. We say...
Ok`~~
Well how about..... two hours later you call back and say
you want
us to give you $100 back of the $200 you paid for the Schnoodle or you
are going
to smear our name all over the place and tell everyone not to buy a dog
from
us.
Is that Extortion ?
Dee's response was a long
silence
and Then Dee said...
%!gjd)s(&^%gdicf()@i!nhd&*!)_)_()(&%#!#$%^*!*(!*(*&%^#$!!.
Click
!
Just to set the record straight....
We will list all
our
screw-ups...
We took three people the wrong dog. It was always
the
sibling and they were all identical in everyway. None of them let us
pick the
pups back up, they all said no, they were happy.
We took two
people the
correct dog, the same pup in the picture but it was the wrong sex.
Another
words.... the wrong sex was written next to the picture. Again they both
would
not let us pick the pups back up, they decided to keep the pups they
got.
The other pups we are counting as *our mistake* are two
pups.
Correct pups, Correct everything. But the puppy was sold twice. One
puppy and
two customers !!! That doesn't work !! So at the last minute, whoever
had
called last about the puppy was explained the mishap and they didn't get
the
puppy.
In 2010 February we took two people the wrong puppies.
They got
switched. One lady kept hers and wouldn't give it back to us so we could
make
the correction and the other customer had her puppy picked back up by
us.
